Outlook 2003

You can choose to download pictures and other blocked content on a per-message basis or to automatically download external pictures and other content for all HTML messages. You can also choose to always download external content for all e-mail messages from a specific e-mail address or domain by including the e-mail address or domain on your Safe Senders List (Safe Senders List: A list of domain names and e-mail addresses that you want to receive messages from. E-mail addresses in Contacts and in the Global Address Book are included in this list by default.).

On a per-message basis

  1. In the open message, click the InfoBar or right-click one of the blocked items.
  2. On the InfoBar menu, on the shortcut menu, click Download Pictures.

For all HTML messages

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Security tab.
  2. Under Download Pictures, click Change Automatic Download Settings.
  3. Clear the Don’t download pictures or other content automatically in HTML e-mail check box.
  4. Click OK twice.

Outlook 2007

Unblock picture downloads for all messages

  1. On the Tools menu, click Trust Center, and then click Automatic Download.
  2. Clear the Don’t download pictures automatically in HTML e-mail messages or RSS items check box.

Unblock picture downloads for all messages from a particular e-mail address or domain

  1. In an open message that was sent from that e-mail address or domain, right-click one of the blocked items.
  2. On the shortcut menu, click Add Sender to Safe Senders List or Add the Domain @domain to Safe Senders List.
