VolSoft support is exclusively for the our programs, the Reporter and modules. We are not network experts and cannot help you set up your network, but we can point you in that direction and maybe the following overview will help.
Shared Data Folder
Every user of the Reporter or the computer which uses the Touch-Screen Assistant needs full read / write access to the data folderRight-click the Reporter’s data folder on the server. Click Properties.
On Windows XP you simply set Share this folder on the network and Allow networkers to change my files.
On a peer to peer network, each user might need to be a user on the the data host computer.
On servers the settings are more complex. There are permissions, security and users.
