Thank you for your inquiry about Volunteer Software. Since 1986 Volunteer Software has been designing software for organizations that need to track volunteer activity. Below is an outline of our products, prices and multiple purchase discounts.
Volunteer Reporter
The Volunteer Reporter is designed to help administrators manage their volunteers [$695 + s/h]. It tracks volunteer positions as Jobs at specific Stations. After Volunteers are matched to jobs with Placements you can record their hours and produce a wide array of reports based on that data.
Touch-Screen Assistant
The Touch Screen Assistant is an add-on module for the Volunteer Reporter [$500]. It enables your volunteers to sign themselves in and out using a touch-screen monitor. Once volunteers have signed out of the Touch Screen Assistant, their hours are automatically posted to the Volunteer Reporter without any further data entry. This requires a standalone computer with a touch screen monitor. Staff can optionally approve or edit the hours. Staff at hospitals, museums, and other organizations whose volunteers enter through a main door save a lot of time entering hours into the Reporter with this method.
Web Assistant
The Web Assistant is an add-on module to the Volunteer Reporter as a subscription service [$360 /year] that enables your volunteers to enter their hours from home or your station supervisors to enter their volunteers’ hours from a Web browser. Volunteers can look at new job opportunities, and new people can apply to be a volunteer on-line. It interfaces with the Volunteer Reporter database and launches from your own website. Staff whose volunteers serve throughout the community save a lot of time entering hours into the Reporter with this online method.
Import Assistant & Volunteer Works Importer
We offer a custom data conversion service for a flat fee of $1000. Alternatively, we offer two free utilities for you to do it yourself, the Import Assistant and the Volunteer Works Importer.
Import Assistant: The Import Assistant enables you to import volunteer and station data into the Reporter from several formats. This free do-it-yourself utility is designed to help new users of the Volunteer Reporter get started by bringing in their existing data. The Import Assistant is very easy to use and anyone can do it. We’ll be glad to help out if you have any questions while using it. The file formats and fields supported are listed on our site at:volsoft.com/support/utilities.
Volunteer Works Importer: The Volunteer Works Importer is very easy to use and anyone can do it. We’ll be glad to help out if you have any questions while using it. The download and instructions are on our site at: volsoft.com/support/utilities.
Support, Pricing and Licensing
With your purchase you get one year of unlimited toll free support, and one upgrade at no charge. You are entitled to use the Reporter on multiple computers within one location. And you can work with multiple data sets if need be. After the first year, the support/upgrade bundle is $300. This is optional unless you use the Web Assistant, for which it is required.
For multiple copies, if you purchase one license/copy and then later purchase a second one for an additional office, the first one costs $695 [plus $5 shipping] and the second one costs $450 [plus shipping]. If you purchase both at the same time, however, both cost $450 each [plus shipping per address]. If you purchase the Web Assistant sometime along the way, we like to prorate the first year, if necessary, so that your renewal dates for the support/upgrade bundle and the Web Assistant coincide with the anniversary of your initial purchase.

We offer a 30 day free trial of the Reporter and a 60 free trial of the Web Assistant, but our trial of the Web Assistant really does not make sense until a database is in place. Call us for trial details of the Web Assistant.
